Last days I’ve been trying out some android applications on my phone. Here are some of my favorites so far:

Bambuser
Broadcast video live from your phone to a website. If I ever decide to broadcast you can watch my streams in the channel trito at Bambuser.com.

wpToGo
Updating a Wordpress blog from your phone

GoogleMaps
The GPS will show your position on a map and you can easily find the way to your destination.

TV-Guide
A Swedish TV guide. Customize to show only the TV channels you want.

3G Watchdog
Great if you are not on an unlimited Internet plan. It allows you to see how much data you have downloaded from Internet. It also gives you a warning if you are about to reach your data quota.

Advanced Task Killer
Helps you shut down programs that run in the background.

MSN for your phone

Calender
The built in calender that is synced with my google calender.

AndChat
Irc client for your phone

Notepad
To write and save notes.

Week no
As simple as it sounds. It shows the week number as a small widget on your phone.

Setting widgets: Bluetooth, GPS, Mobile and Wi-Fi
These four different widgets allow you to quickly control their status and turn them on and off. The GPS eats battery so I have it turned off when I don’t need it. I have 3G turned off (mobile) when I’m home since I’m not on a unlimited Internet plan. Bluetooth I have switched off if I don’t need it.

There are also a lot of applications I haven’t got the chance to try yet, but they already sounds promising (like Prisjakt). I might write about more nice applications later on.
