Sweets for my sweet

After coming home from the gym today we decided to make some delicious sweets. We don’t want to get too fit from the gym. ;) We made chocolate balls rolled in chopped dajm, a Swedish candy bar that consists of something similar to butterscotch covered with milk chocolate.

Here are the receipt for these yummy balls:

100 gram butter
1 deciliter sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla sugar
4 deciliters oatmeal
2 tablespoons cacao
3 tablespoons strong cold coffee

Mix all of the above ingredients together and role the doe to small balls. Chop the dajm in small pieces and role the balls in the dajm. Leave in the fridge for 10-15 minutes. Enjoy!

I still have Christmas holiday before I start my new work on Monday. I have done a lot of different things this week, such as ice skating on a lake, going to the gym, relaxing in a jacuzzi and cooking a steak. But I’ve still had time to play some video games. Some days ago I started playing New Super Mario on NDS and I like it so much I’m already about to finish it. After that I will move on and play the game on Wii.

But New Super Mario for Wii has to wait because today I got hooked on another Wii game: Trivial Pursuit. You can play it by yourself, trying to unlock objects and beat your own records. But it’s even more fun to play with your friends and compete against each other. If you haven’t tried TP for Wii I strongly recommend you to do so. :) Here is a game review I’ve found on youtube:

The calender

The new year is here and it’s time to stop eating all the Christmas sweets and start exercising again. I’m happy Magnus joined my gym some days ago, so now we can go there together.

As a motivator we have hung a calender at the wall between our monitors. I have bought some cute small stickers that we will use to mark the days we have been to the gym. I will use pink stickers and Magnus will use blue.

I have been going to the same gym for one year and I like it a lot. This will make it even more fun. I can’t wait until I get to choose next cute sticker. ;)

But that’s not all. At the end of each month we will count the stickers. The one of us with least stickers has to cook dinner for the other person.

It has been really snowy and cold in Sweden lately. It creates a certain Xmas feeling, but it isn’t nice when you have to sit on an airport and wait for delayed flights. That’s what I’m doing now. So far my flight is delayed 1.5 hours because of the weather. :(

Update: In total the flight got delayed 2 hours, but I made it. :)

Ready for Christmas

There are still more than 2 weeks to Christmas, but I’m already done buying Christmas gifts. Today I bought the very last gift and I can now sit back and relax and wait for the Christmas to come.

It’s nice to know I don’t have to go to the malls the week before Christmas, when everybody else are doing their shopping. I don’t like being in crowded malls. People are walking slow and they suddenly stop in front of you, without reason, so you walk into them. Even an ordinary weekend I think it’s too much people in the malls.

I hope I will remember this strategy next year and do my shopping this early too.

Great if you are not on an unlimited Internet plan. It allows you to see how much data you have downloaded from Internet. It also gives you a warning if you are about to reach your data quota.

Week no
As simple as it sounds. It shows the week number as a small widget on your phone.

Setting widgets: Bluetooth, GPS, Mobile and Wi-Fi
These four different widgets allow you to quickly control their status and turn them on and off. The GPS eats battery so I have it turned off when I don’t need it. I have 3G turned off (mobile) when I’m home since I’m not on a unlimited Internet plan. Bluetooth I have switched off if I don’t need it.

There are also a lot of applications I haven’t got the chance to try yet, but they already sounds promising (like Prisjakt). I might write about more nice applications later on.

My new hero

Some days ago I bought a new phone, a HTC hero. I have never really cared about having an advanced phone, I was happy as long as I could make phone calls and send texts. And that’s exactly what I could do with my last phone, ever since I dropped it in water last year I couldn’t even use it for photos. So buying a more advance phone like the HTC hero, was a bit unexpected.

I must say I’m really happy with the phone, there are so many things it allows you to do. This blog, for example, is written and uploaded from my phone. There are so many free applications to download and use, and it’s simple too.

Last days I’ve been sick with the flu and I haven’t been able to do much except lying down. Then it’s perfect with a phone that allows me to check my emails, Facebook, the tv guide, MSN, from bed. It keeps me entertained.

Mario & Luigi Partners in time

Since I’ve got my NDS I’ve tried quite a lot of games. Right now I have a break from Retro Challenge (see previous post) since I’m playing Mario & Luigi partners in time. It is different from every other Mario game I have ever played and it’s a lot of fun. You control four characters: Mario, Luigi, baby Mario and baby Luigi. You move and play all the characters at the same time, but they have different jump and action keys which makes it a bit harder to navigate than just normal Mario. Another special thing is that the fighting is turned based. When you find an enemy you go into a battle stage and you and the enemy take turns attacking. You get new items to use for attacking as the game goes by. Each battle gives you experience points and your four characters will level up. You can also use clothes and badges to improve the strengths of your characters.
